“a sweet friendship refreshes the soul.” ~ Proverbs 27:9 MSG

The Pause was conceived when a pair of lifelong friends joined with a small group of women to study the Bible and share our struggles with one another.

Christina Bailey and Carlie Bantelman have been close friends since high school. We have supported one another through college, engagements, marriages, and parenthood. Now that we have entered our fifties, we are experiencing new joys and challenges. As we talked with the other women in our small group, we realized we all had similar struggles.

“What if,” we wondered, “Women our age could gather as we did when we had young children? What if we had a place to ask questions and learn how to navigate this stage of life as we did back then?” As women, it's easy to feel like we're going through life alone.

At The PAUSE, we hope to be a supportive space for women to come together and form deeper connections with each other. We want to provide a welcoming environment where women can share their struggles and experiences without fear of judgment. Let’s tap into our shared knowledge and resources to make our post-midlife days a little easier. Join us and become a part of our community of compassionate, understanding, and encouraging women.

“So speak encouraging words to one another.

Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind.”

~ 1 Thes 5:11 MSG
